Update 2/20/13- Hello dear friends!  I have been asked a few times lately if this group is still active.  YES!!!! The answer is Yes!  I'm shouting it out of happiness and joy.  You see, I have been quite ill this past year and it is because of the wonderful volunteers sending in such beautiful scarves, lapsquares, wristbands, etc. that have kept this group going.  I want to thank each and everyone of you from the bottom of my heart.  I know that the survivors that have received them have appreciated them very much also.  With that  I am asking you to please continue to help me keep this group going and growing.  Sadly, the items are needed.

One other thing,  I have had to take a long hard look at what I am able to do physically.  My illnesses are not going away.  So, I hope you will all bare with me (I know you have enjoyed seeing the totals), but I have decided that I need to concentrate my energies where best needed and that is in making and delivering of the items, and other misc things to keep the group going.  So this year I will not be listing a chart of the totals of items donated per  month.  I will try to get on here and update occasionally and add some pictures of the lovely items that have come in!   I think I will also try to keep up with the list of where they have come from.  I find that so interesting.  We have almost every state.  Wouldn't it be wonderful to get something from every country!  I know, I'm dreaming, lol!  Once again, thank you so much and if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas please feel free to contact me.

I thought people may be interested to know how many scarves are brought in to our local crisis center each month.  I've created a chart and will try to keep it updated for you!  I, also am listing the places were these wonderful creations have come from!  You may be amazed at how far the reach is.  I know that I am!  To each and every one of you I offer my heart felt thank you and gratitude for helping to make this project a success.

Compassionate Creations brought it's first batch of scarves to the Rape Crisis Center of Central MA in Jan. of 2008.  As you can see from the chart below we have steadily increased the number of scarves, but, unfortunately, we are just barely covering their needs every month.  I dream for the day when they tell me they have an abundance in store and don't need any!

We are now helping to supply scarves, wristbands, and lapsquares when possible to other rape crisis centers throughout the state of Massachusetts!  Thank you to all who contribute.  We have supplied a total 625 "creations" during our first year.  As a policy to maintain confidentiality we do not send out thank you's, but I want to take this opportunity to thank each and every person that has contributed even a single item this past year.  Every single scarf, wristband or lapsquare was made with caring and love and it shows.  Thank you!

July was an amazing month!  The generosity from around this country and the world warms my heart and has brought me to tears many times! (Happy tears!)  Thank you each and every one of you!!!

This month (June) you get to meet some of the counselors that work at RCCCM where I deliver these beautiful "hugs from the heart".  These women are incredible!  If you are a survivor and are trying to find healing on your own I urge you to call one of them.  It took me a long time, but was well worth it!  They know how to help you heal.  You are not alone!!!  Hugs!

I thought I'd show you the "creations" before they were all packaged up this month.  Aren't they beautiful!  And every one of them was made with love!   These are what were brought into the center for May.  Thank you to each and every one of the wonderful people that contributed!
